14th Rencontres du Vietnam

The 24th Vietnam School of Physics (VSOP-24): 20 - 31 August 2018

Place: Quy Nhon, Vietnam

The VSOP-24 is organized by Rencontres du Vietnam (RdV), ICISE, IFIRSE.

This school belongs to a series of schools originating from a school created in 1994 by Nguyen Van Hieu, and Tran Thanh Van and funded by Rencontres du Vietnam. It became an international school in 1995 with participation of Vietnamese and foreign students. The school is also funded by the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) and the Asia-Pacific Centre for Theoretical Physics (APCTP), Pohang, Korea, as an external activity.

The 24th VSOP will be devoted to particle physics and cosmology, both theory and experiment. In addition to fundamental knowledge of Quantum Field Theory, Standard Model (SM), QCD and Monte Carlo methods, the lectures will cover experimental methods for collider searches at the LHC, theories beyond the SM, cosmology and dark matter.
