Dear Early career colleagues,
As ECFA Early Career Researcher (ECR) panel representatives for France, we are organizing this event, with the aim of gathering the French ECR community to discuss the place of ECRs in the field of High Energy Physics in the context of the ongoing preparation of the update of the European Strategy for Particle Physics (ESPP) driven by ECFA.
This event will be held at the APC on October 8, 2024, the afternoon before the start of the 3rd ECFA workshop on e⁺e⁻ Higgs, Electroweak and Top Factories. we encourage any ECR joining either event to come to both of them, and we would especially invite ECR that are not directly involved in projects related to future colliders to join these workshops.
The event will allow to highlight the contribution of french ECR to projects related to future collider physics and R&D, as well as to introduce the ECFA efforts to the ECR community at large, with or without involvement in prospect studies, through introductory talks to the structure, goals and achievements of the commitee. Part of the afternoon will be reserved to an open discussion session, in order to give everybody a chance to express their opinion on the direction of our field in future years.
We also encourage you to attend the public event “Science et Société: Faisabilité du FCC, le Futur Collisionneur Circulaire de particules élémentaires du CERN” at 6:30pm, just after our workshop.
