La Vieille Perrotine is a unique site in the middle of the beautiful island of Oléron, but the price to pay is that access is not very straightforward!

1) Access: we propose a free shuttle bus from La Rochelle train station on Monday 23 and towards this same station on Wednesday 25 for a 1h30 trip depending on the traffic conditions. Therefore, if you are not coming by car, we strongly suggest to plan your trip so that you can benefit from this bus. The bus will leave on Monday after the arrival of the 12h25 train from Paris.

Beware! The train station is under urban renewal, please walk towards the purple area on the bottom right:

If for any reason you will not be able to adapt your trip to this bus, there are some public transportation solutions but please note that you will have to take care of them on your own. In particular there is a bus from La Rochelle (line 7) arriving at Dolus d’Oléron, very close to La Vieille Perrotine from where we could pick you up. To travel with this bus, you have to pay 2 € for your ticket. You can buy it directly from the bus driver.

2) Bicycles: La Vieille Perrotine will provide a free bicycle to each participant during the whole stay. The island of Oléron is a perfect place for biking, flat and full of cycle trails (check the cycle network here), we hope that the weather will let you discover the island during the leisure time!

3) Swimming pool: the open-air swimming pool is open from April to September. Remember to bring your swimming suit if you want to take advantage of it.

4) Mosquitoes might be present depending on the time of the year. It is recommended to bring some repellent.

5) WIFI will be available in the central area (including the conference room, restaurant and bar), but not in the rooms.
