Description
A classification of the generalized metric in DFT is presented. Analyses on the particle as well as the string dynamics upon the backgrounds are discussed through doubled-yet-gauged sigma models. DFT describes not only Riemannian gravity but also Newton-Cartan gravity, Carroll geometry or chiral string theories, etc. The talk is based on 1707.03713 with Kevin Morand.
