Description
Two-pion production in nucleon-nucleon reactions is an important source of information about nucleon-nucleon interaction and baryonic resonance properties. In addition, these channels allow to investigate the presence of resonances in the baryon-baryon system. The aim of this workshop is to compare and discuss recent results obtained in the analysis of two-pion production channels in pp and pn reactions around 1.25 GeV using the WASA detector at the CELSIUS and COSY facilities on the one hand, the HADES detector at GSI, on the other hand. The meeting brings together experimentalists from the WASA and HADES collaborations and theoreticians who performed calculations for the interpretation of these data.
