Description

This workshop will address the challenge of turning the L2 data products into L3 data to be used by the largest possible community. It will be on June 12-14, in Nice (Valrose campus, downtown).

The workshop will start on Monday morning and finish on Wednesday after lunch. Lunches are included and we are organising a diner on Monday evening.

This workshop is funded by the Observatoire de la Côte d'Azur and CNRS through the MITI initiative. We thank our adminsitor Julie Frisetti for all the logistics.

Recordings of the event can be found here https://cloud.oca.eu/index.php/apps/files/?dir=/LISA%20Catalog%20Workhops%20recordings&fileid=30133984

More specifically, the questions we want to address  (or start addressing) regarding L2->L3 data are:

  • What does the input data look like (what comes out of the Global Fit, how to interpret it properly)
  • What could the output data look like (what is a "good" catalog?)
  • How to go from one to the other (examples from space missions, gravitational waves, galactic binaries with EM, first LISA efforts...).

Other topics related to L2->L3 are possible,
If you have questions or suggestions, please contact:
Astrid.Lamberts@oca.eu
Nelson.Christensen@oca.eu

We will be gathering LISA science and data analysis experts as well as  experts on data processing of space missions and ground-based GW detectors.

We are aiming at a relatively small meeting (20-30 people), to allow for ample discussions and interactions.

Please consider registering soon if you want to make sure that you will be able to attend. Nice is beautiful in June, but consequently hotels fill up quick, so please make your reservations soon.

We look forward to seeing you in Nice and discussing LISA and LISA data!
