To go downtown, you need to take the Line B1 City Bus to "Castellane" and there take the Subway Line 1 (M1) Direction "La Rose" and stop at "Vieux-Port" station (2 stations from Castellane).
Count at least 1 hour from Campus to be safe; on holidays the buses and subway trains are less frequent than during the working days.
The 21 Bus takes about 30 minutes to go from Luminy to Castellane, then you need to catch the Line 1 (M1) Subway (1 every 9 minutes on average) which takes a bit less than 10 minutes to reach the "Vieux-Port" station.
Wednesday July 3rd
Dinner together with some of your teachers at the O'ZEN Restaurant at the Escale Borely.
Dinner is scheduled at 19:30; the teachers will drive you by car after class to the restaurant and back to Campus.
Before dinner, you can also have a swim in the Mediterranean sea, if you feel like it ! :-)
Friday July 5th
Dinner together with some of your teachers at the ARCENAULX Restaurant located at Cours d'Estienne d'Orves downtown Marseille (Vieux-Port subway station).
Around 22:00 back to campus with City bus 521 from Vieux-Port-Ballard bus stop:
Sunday July 8
Ana DUMITRIU (07 88 94 52 09) and William GILLARD (both being part of the WeChat Summer School chat group) will be accompanying you in a trip by bus to discover the Lavender fields in Valensole and its surroundings
Do not forget to take your lunch box (delivered at CROUS Bât B at 09:00), water and sun protection with you :-)
The bus will leave at 9:30 from the Luminy CAMPUS. Do not be late ;-)
And do not forget to take nice pictures for the Picture Contest!
We hired a Chinese speaking guide who will accompany you on the trip as well. Her name is Mrs MENG Dan.
As for the excursion, the programme is the following:
- 9:30 : Nap Tourisme bus pick up at Luminy
- via Gréoux les Bains
- Stop for pictures at Lavender fields
- 12:30 : stop at Moustiers Ste Marie for picnic
- 15:30 : trip back to Marseille from Moustiers
- 17:30 : arrival at Marseille - Escale Borély - near O'ZEN Restaurant
You can then enjoy the sea for a couple of hours and then have dinner at O'ZEN. I'll meet you at the restaurant.
And around ~21h : the bus will drive everybody back to Luminy.
