Description

The XMASS project aims to study low-energy solar neutrinos, dark matter and double beta decay using ultra pure liquid xenon. As a first step of the project, a detector with 800kg of liquid xenon in a signle phase was proposed. The detector is now finishing its construction in the Kamioka mine in Japan. Construction of the detector will be reported and commissioning plan will be discussed.
