Participants are kindly invited to arrange hotel bookings themselves. Annecy attracts many tourists and therefore offers a wide variety of possibilities, however May-June is the start of the high season, so we recommend that you book a room as soon as possible. The workshop will take place at the Imperial Palace, which is ideally located by the lake and has a large number of comfortable rooms. The negotiated rate for GWPAW attendees is 230 euros/night (breakfast and tax included) for a single room. To get this rate, you will need to make your reservation by email, mentioning "GWPAW-LAPP" in your request.
Less expensive options are available downtown. There are many hotels in the area around the train station, these are within walking distance of the old town where there is an abundance of restaurants. The workshop venue can be reached easily from this area with bus #2 (~10 minutes plus a few minutes walk) or with a 25-minutes walk.
