Description
We have been using WIMS virtual classrooms, worksheets and exercises in some mathematical courses for university students for more than a decade. Our experience shows that well-crafted dynamic worksheets can help the students to quickly acquire certain mathematical skills, particularly those within the lower taxonomy levels, while higher levels are harder to attain. In this sense, we find such electronic tools an efficient supplement to traditional teaching methods. However, while the rapid development of technology is opening almost limitless possibilities for its application, it also requires careful evaluation of different teaching strategies in order to minimize its possible negative effects.
