Welcome to the website of the 6th Geant4 International User Conference at the Physics-Medicine-Biology frontier !
After Bordeaux in France (2005, 2013, 2018), Napoli in Italy (2022) and Osaka in Japan (2024), the conference will take place in Mooloolaba, Queensland, Australia, from February 8th to February 11th, 2027.
The conference will run in parallel with the Mini Micro Nano Dosimetry (MMND) and Innovation Technologies in Radiation Oncology (ITRO) conferences at the same location.
Participants will have the opportunity to attend all three events, and a single registration is required. The first morning of February 8th will feature a common plenary session between the Geant4 conference and MMND-ITRO. Then, the conferences will run in parallel starting in the afternoon of February 8th.
The 6th Geant4 International User Conference at the Physics-Medicine-Biology frontier will bring together developers and users of the Geant4 Monte Carlo simulation toolkit, and cover the following topics :
- imaging
- conventional radiotherapy treatments, such as conventional x-ray radiotherapy and brachytherapy
- hadrontherapy, including protontherapy
- targeted radiotherapy
- novel approaches, including Flash and BNCT
- biophysics and radiobiology, including Geant4-DNA
- radiation protection
- detector development
- computing
- and a special session dedicated to new application domains (environment, space, etc.)
The conference is fully endorsed by the Geant4 Collaboration.
All presentations will be delivered as plenary talks, and participants will have the opportunity to submit their work for a regular peer-reviewed paper to a Special Issue of the European Journal of Medical Physics / Physica Medica.
