Registration and Application

Participation & Application

Participation in the AISSAI Hackathon is curated to ensure high-quality collaboration across disciplines and experience levels.

Rather than selecting “the best” profiles, the organizing committee assembles balanced teams with complementary skills in accelerator physics, AI/ML, and HPC.
This means that a wide range of backgrounds and experience levels are actively encouraged.

Submitting an application therefore expresses your interest in participating; final participation depends on how we can best compose coherent and diverse teams across the different challenge tracks.

Application process

  1. Complete the online application form
  2. The scientific committee reviews applications and builds balanced teams
  3. Notifications are sent approximately 2 weeks after the deadline
  4. Accepted participants confirm attendance via a short letter of commitment and receive onboarding details

Fees

Participation is free of charge.
There is no registration fee for accepted participants.

A letter of commitment is requested to ensure full participation throughout the week, as the event relies on team continuity and engagement.

Grants

A limited number of travel and accommodation grants are available.

These may cover:

  • Travel expenses (train, plane, or car)
  • Accommodation at Les Domaines de Gaston for the full duration of the event

Priority is given to PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career scientists.

Grant requests can be indicated directly in the application form.

We strongly encourage applications from diverse backgrounds — including candidates who may not meet every listed skill area.
