The Local Organizing Committee is pleased to welcome participants to a social program designed to provide opportunities for informal discussions, networking, and the discovery of the Lyon region and its cultural heritage.
The program includes three events, detailed below
Tuesday, June 30 (Evening) – Welcome Reception
Welcome drink at the Villeurbanne Town Hall, starting at 7.15 PM
Participants are invited to a welcome reception hosted in the prestigious Salle des Mariages of the Villeurbanne Town Hall. This event will offer an opportunity to meet colleagues from France and China in a convivial setting and to celebrate the longstanding scientific cooperation fostered by the FCPPN/L network.
The Villeurbanne Town Hall, inaugurated in 1934 as part of the landmark Gratte-Ciel urban project, is a notable example of French Art Deco architecture and one of the architectural symbols of the Lyon metropolitan area.

Wednesday, July 1 (Afternoon) – Excursion to the Beaujolais Region
Visit and wine tasting at Château de Montmelas: 3 PM to 6 PM (departure from the La Doua Campus at 2 PM)
Participants will enjoy an excursion to Château de Montmelas, a historic castle located in the heart of the Beaujolais region, north of Lyon. The visit will include a presentation of the estate, its history, and the local wine-making traditions, followed by a tasting of selected Beaujolais wines.
The Beaujolais is renowned worldwide for its vineyards, picturesque landscapes, and rich cultural heritage, making it one of the most emblematic regions of southeastern France.

Wednesday, July 1 (Evening) – Social Dinner
Social dinner at Domaine Lyon Saint-Joseph: starting at 7 PM, with direct transfer from Château de Montmelas
The workshop social dinner will take place at Domaine Lyon Saint-Joseph, located on the hills of Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon, overlooking the Lyon metropolitan area.
The venue offers an elegant and relaxed environment for participants to continue scientific discussions and strengthen personal and professional ties while enjoying regional gastronomy and wines.

Practical information regarding transportation and schedules for the social events will be provided closer to the workshop date.
