The easiest means to reach LPC-Caen, which is located on “Campus 2” of the University of Caen, is to take the tram, which runs through central Caen as shown in the following downloadable map.
From downtown Caen, take a tram on line T2 going in the direction of “CAEN Campus 2” and alight at the terminus/final stop. The travel time is around 20 mins from central Caen. Tickets are sold by automatic vending machines at all stops (price 1.80€) and must be validated in the tram. There are typically trams every 10 to 20 minutes. If you take the tram from the stop in front of the main exit of the Caen railway station (stop “Gare SNCF”) you will need to take a T1 (direction HEROUVILLE St-Clair) or T3 (direction CAEN Chateau Quatrans) line tram and change at one of the stops common with the T2 line (see map). Alternatively, you may make the short walk (see downloadable map) to the “Gare-Rives de l’Orne” stop which is on the T2 line.

When you get off at the CAEN Campus 2 tram stop (terminus of the T2 line) it is a very short walk to LPC which is located next to the main administrative building (“Bat A”) of the ENSICAEN Engineering School (a very distinctive curved building). As shown in the attached aerial view below, please use the entrance indicated. The LPC seminar room is on the first floor – use the stairs in front of you when you pass through the entrance.
Please see below for some photos to help guide you.
View from tram stop: to reach LPC follow the small road and walk past the two blue and white student accommodation buildings, then turn left after the small parking area and walk along the road towards the barrier and the main ENSICAEN building A (curved roof) as shown in the next photo.
Turn right after the barrier and walk between the ENSICAEN A building and the area with the recycling bins and turn right again where you will find the LPC entrance to use (photo below). There will be a sign on the entrance indicating the workshop. We will block the door open each morning starting around 9:30 am. If you find that the door is closed and there is no one outside (an access card is required) send an SMS to one of the LPC group members - the numbers will be indicated on the sign. As noted above, use the stairs just after you enter to reach the meeting room on the first floor (or 2F if you prefer !).
