During the conference, three social events are proposed to the participants:
- a welcome cocktail in the winter garden of the Collège Doctoral Européen (the same building as the conference venue),
- a choice of three activities on Wednesday afternoon, see below,
- a conference banquet in a Strasbourg restaurant.
For the 'excursion' on Wednesday afternoon, three options are proposed, to be chosen at registration. All sites are located in the city center and reachable by foot from the conference venue or the lunch place.
- Visit of the historical wine cellar of Strasbourg.
- Relaxation session at the Strasbourg planetarium.
- Boat tour of the Strasbourg, from historical to European districts.
If you are a rock climber and have a hard time spending a week without hanging on proper holds, contact jerome.baudot@iphc.cnrs.fr. Though an outing in November is unlikely, Strasbourg benefits from good indoor gyms (bouldering or lead).
The conference venue is located in the center of Strasbourg, close to many touristic and cultural activities. Please consult the page of the official tourist center for further if you wish to organise your own activities.
