Description

The determination of the CKM element V(cb) has been the subject of much debate, due to the inclusive-exclusive discrepancy, particularly over the last five years. The anomalies in the measurement of the lepton universality ratio R(D) and R(D*) has further increased the interest in b to c transitions. In this IPhU topical discussion session we will hear about the recent progress in the theory predictions and experimental determinations of semi-leptonic b to c decays, and the prospects for the future.
