Session types and contributions

Focus talks, break-out sessions and pitching your software

Aim of the workshop is a sharing of best practices, an exchange of ideas, developments towards common software standards and recommendations and the possibility to exchange practical knowledge in hands-on sessions. As participant to the workshop, you can get involved in various ways.

Focus talks

Key aspects of the software development are addressed in plenary talks. If you would like to contribute or would like to suggest a topic or speaker, please indicate this while registering or via an email to the organizers.

Pitch your software solution

We invite all participants to "pitch" your specific software or a good solution that you found for an important aspect of your open source software. A pitch refers to a very short presentation of 3-5 min and about the same number of slides to point the participants to your specific software/idea/solution. You can also contribute several pitches if you like. Please indicate your contribution on registration.

Break-out sessions: Hands-on or discussion groups

While talks and pitches are scheduled for the morning sessions, the afternoons can be used for open sessions either for hands-on tutorials to transfer technical skills of interest to the wider community, or specific discussion groups. If you would like to suggest an according session or would volunteer to offer one, please indicate this on registration or via email to the organizers.
