It is our great pleasure to invite you to attend the 15th France China Particle Physics Network/Laboratory workshop (FCPPN/L2024) to be held at University of Bordeaux, France on June 10-14, 2024. If you are interested in starting or presenting a collaborative project involving teams of our two countires, we warmly encourage you to attend the workshop.
The France China Particle Physics Laboratory (FCPPL) was established according to the agreement between CAS, CNRS and CEA in April 2007. The aim of the joint laboratory is to promote the cooperation between France and China in particle and astroparticle physics. Following its creation in 2007, cooperation programs have been set up and funded through this laboratory.
In 2024, FCPPL evolves in FCPPN/L an International Research Network (IRN) combined to an International Research Lab (IRL) hosted on the IHEP Campus in Beijing : a new combined Research Collaborative Structure gathering a community of some 460 physicists and engineers from 18 CNRS joint research units with 14 French universities and Engineering Schools on the French side, and CAS (IHEP, NAOC, PMO, USTC, UCAS) and 23 universities on the Chinese side.
The research fields relevant to the FCPPN project have a broad spectrum and cover: Particle and Hadronic Physics, Neutrino Physics, Astroparticle Physics and High Energy Astrophysics, Cosmology, Accelerator Physics, together with Theoretical Physics and (accelerator-, detector-, computing-) related technologies to participate in collaborative efforts to better understand the physics of our Universe.
The IRN allows the partners to work together with the best research infrastructures in our fields, to name just a few: LHC experiments at CERN, KM3NeT in France and Italy, LSM (Laboratoire Souterrain de Modane) in France; JUNO (Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory), CJPL (China Jinping Underground Laboratory), LHASSO and GRANDE in China; SVOM a common Franco-Chinese space mission, …
The main purpose of the 15th workshop is to present, review and discuss the various ongoing and future activities performed by Chinese and French scientists within the FCPPN/L framework. This workshop will foster and reinforce our basis of research and exchanges for further cooperation.
Looking forward to hearing from you and seeing you in Bordeaux soon.
With best regards.
