Conference Proceedings: Instructions

Conference Proceedings

The proceedings will be published in Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A, as in the case of the previous Workshops.

Preliminary instructions follow below. These will be updated.

RICH2010 authors will shortly receive from Elsevier a user ID and password which will allow them to access the Elsevier  Electronic Editing System (EES) to submit their draft manuscripts for review. EES will be the authors' only interface with the RICH2010 reviewers, who will use EES to indicate any modifications that might be required to  papers and then to notify authors of their acceptance.

The EES portal will be open for authors to submit draft manuscripts until August 31, 2010, after which date it will shut automatically to allow the review and iteration procedure to proceed.

The following are guidelines and page limits for papers

Invited overview presentations: 8 pages for corresponding paper manuscript
Submitted oral or poster presentation:  4 pages for corresponding paper manuscript

These are hard  page limits.

In the meantime, before receiving their EES ID an password, authors need not hesitate to start writing the manuscript of their papers.

Manuscripts should by preference be written in LaTeX using the NIM-A elsarticle.cls document class.

The document class, as well as layout styles and tutorials can be found at http://www.elsevier.com/wps/find/authorsview.authors/elsarticle

from Elsevier. From this page, authors can download the LaTeX 2 column template, instructions etc.

Note that the elsarticle class has replaced the elsart class that authors might have recently used in the past via http://www.elsevier.com/wps/find/authorsview.authors/elsart

TeX and LaTeX is available for any Linux distribution. For Windows a free and well done TeX implementation can be found at http://www.miktex.org/

A WORD two-column template for non-LaTeX users (based on previous conference proceedings published in NIM-A) is available here
