Instructions for Poster Contributions

This page provides information for partipcants who contribute to the scientific program with a poster in one of the two poster sessions. For details on the session contents (and to find the session, for which your poster has been accepted), please refer to the Timetable in the left bar menu!

Location

Poster sessions and the industrial exhibit stands will share the 'rotonde' area at the Oustau Calendal Conference Centre in Cassis. This area has a semicircular end with excellent views out over the Cassis port, Cap Canaille and the beach. The coffee bar is also located in this area.

Framework programme

  • Poster session 1 (dedicated to Cherenkov detectors in nuclear, particle physics and astroparticle physics; photon detection technologies) will be preceeded by an introductory talk by Peter Krizan (Tuesday May 4: 10.15) detailing the posters to follow (which will be posted on Tuesday May 4 and Wednesday May 5 in the 'rotonde'.)
  • Poster session 2 (Novel Detectors, Technology Issues, Pattern Recoginition & Data Analysis, R&D Future Detectors) will be preceeded by an introductory talk by Peter Krizan (Thursday May 6: 10.25) detailing the posters to follow (which will be posted on Thursday May 6 and Friday May 7 in the 'rotonde'.)
Important: all poster authors are requested to provide 2 slides detailing the material covered in their poster. These will be used by Peter to create the two poster summary talks above. The slides should be sent to Peter Krizan (peter.krizan@ijs.si) no later than April 27, 2010 with a copy to rich2010@cppm.in2p3.fr.

Mechanical support

The panels for poster attachment will have a width of 120 cm and a height of 90 cm. This favours a landscape poster format (up to A0 paper size: 841×1189  mm2), although a portrait A0 format is also feasable, possibly with the addition of tensioning weights or a piece of stiffening card inserted behind the lower portion of the poster to prevent curling. Smaller portrait or landscape orientation posters in A1 format (594* 841mm) will both fit on the panels.
