How to get to our workshop

Once you arrive on Campus:

NB: You will need to show your ID (e.g. passport) to get access to the Ecole Polytechnique campus.

Upon arrival on campus, you will first have to pass by the "Accueil" (welcome desk). Please click here to see its location on the campus map. The amphitheatre "Curie" " Painlevé* ", where the workshop is being held is beneath amphi Curie (which is marked on that map) - a more detailed map of the area around the amphitheatre can be seen here. A high-resolution map of campus is available here - but has not been marked up for our workshop.

*We were assigned a different amphitheatre and given notice the morning of the workshop.

A map showing the location of the different amphitheatres at Ecole Polytechnique can be found here - amphi Curie is towards the top right of the map it is marked one of the yellow A's. If you hover over the name "Painlevé" in the sidebar, it will show you the location of the amphi.

Getting to Campus:

The École Polytechnique Campus can be accessed easily from Paris:

- by taking the RER B (direction Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse) as far as the "Massy-Palaiseau" stop and, from there, take the bus (91.06B or 91.06C) up to the Polytechnique Lozère bus station. From the center of Paris this will take about 45 minutes to Massy-Palaiseau and then 10 minutes by bus and another 5 minutes by foot. Follow this map to get from the bus stop (marked in red) to the welcome desk and amphitheatre.

- by taking the RER B (direction Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse) to the "Lozère" stop (it has "École Polytechnique" marked beneath the stop on the maps in the trains) and, from there, walking up the hill to the campus. You can watch this video to see how to do that. From the center of Paris this will take about 50 minutes to Lozère and then 15 minutes by foot. Follow this map to get from the Lozère RER station to campus and then the welcome desk and amphitheatre.

You can also come by car - but it is not recommended - if you just enter "École Polytechnique, Palaiseau" in your map software, it should find the way. You can see the location of the visitor parking towards the centre of this map.
