Description
We give examples of difficult open problems
about the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang equation
where exact and very useful information can be obtained
from studying the tails of the probability distributions.
Replica Bethe ansatz methods are reviewed and used
(works in collaboration with Andrea de Luca and Jacopo de Nardis).
