Dear TTC topical participants,
The program of the workshop is being built and we would like to ask for contribution talks. The contributions will illustrate problems encountered during the assembly and how one did get over; it will trig questions and discussions. Depending on the number of contributions, the program committee may identify hot topics to be presented. The program is split in 8 main subjects as detailed in the table below. We ask for contributions especially on the highlighted subjects.
Interested contributors can prepare a quick description of their talk and send it to either Stéphane Berry, Sébastien Bousson and my-self before October 15th.
1 |
Specifications of clean room infrastructure (ISO4 5, utilities), tools and consumables |
Clean environment, airbone counter, surface counter, UV light control IEST-RP-CC003 garment change ISO certification HPR (design, arcing, part. counting) |
2 |
QC of cavity, coupler, valve, bellows and general hardware |
Individual components preparation, method of the different checks: visual inspection, particle counting, acceptance thresholds |
3 |
Qualification and training of personnel |
Cofrend, mechanic skills, initial qualification, number of hours in CR, learning process |
4 |
Experience from industrial semi conductor plants |
On all subjects. |
5 |
Specification of vacuum infrastructure, vacuum equipment and vacuum procedures |
Spec. vac. Group , pump, filters, gas purity, location of the equipment. Leak test proc., low temp. baking in/out CR, Venting procedure (which gas, on individual component or assembly). |
6 |
Dis assembly/assembly tools and procedures: the mechanical aspects |
Turning flange or not, blind or threaded holes, screw materials (silver plating , CuNiSi/SS), component fabrication tolerances vs. adjustment/prealignment need, gasket type choice for best cleanliness during disassembly. |
7 |
Dis assembly/assembly tools and procedures: the cleanliness aspects |
Human position with respect to components, component wiping/blowing, contamination risk with valve closure. |
8 |
Experience with cavity gradient degradation in cryomodule tests |
Beam vacuum connection inside the tunnel :procedures, equipment. |
Stéphane Berry, Sébastien Bousson and my-self look forward to your contribution.
Sincerely,
Catherine MADEC
