Introduction to Loop Quantum Gravity

In this introductory talk, I will first review some of the motivations and the challenges of quantizing the gravitational field. I will then give an intuition of the basic physical ideas of loop quantum gravity, in particular the change of perspective on what are the quanta of gravity, from the traditional graviton states, to states representing quanta of space itself. Finally, I will discuss some recent result that show how these quanta are fuzzy discrete geometries.
