Gravitational waves from merging compact objects provide a unique probe of gravity in the strong-field, highly dynamical regime. Interpreting these signals, and using them to test General Relativity, relies on accurate theoretical models of the full inspiral, merger, and ringdown phases. In this talk, I will discuss ongoing efforts to construct such waveform models in extensions of General Relativity. I will highlight the key theoretical and computational challenges involved, summarize recent progress, and outline future directions.
