To Strasbourg

By air

  • Via Paris - Charles de Gaulle International Airport (CDG)

The largest international airport in France is Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport (CDG). International flights from almost all Europe, America, Africa, and Asia arrive to CDG. From CDG, one can reach Strasbourg using a high-speed train in about 2h (7 TGVs per day).

  • Via Strasbourg - Entzheim Airport (SXB)

The Strasbourg-Entzheim International Airport (SXB) is just 10-km away from Strasbourg’s city centre and offers many direct flights to European cities (including Amsterdam, Athens, London, Madrid, Rome and Warsaw). From SXB, it takes less than 10 mins to reach the city centre by local train (~5 local trains per hour between 6:00 and 21:00 for 4.70€).

  • Via Kalrsruhe / Baden-Baden Airport (FKT) and or Basel-Mulhouse Airport (BSL-MLH)

Two other airports are very close to Strasbourg and providing many direct flights: Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden airport (58 km) and Basel-Mulhouse airport (130 km). In both cases, we recommend to use the bus+train combination. For Basel-Mulhouse airport there is a direct shuttle (about 10 minutes) from/to the airport at the Saint-Louis train station (which propose a direct train from/to Strasbourg (about 45 minutes)).

  • Via Frankfurt International Airport (FRA)

The other very large international airport close to Strasbourg is Frankfurt Airport (FRA). From FRA, one can reach Strasbourg using, for instance, Lufthansa Express Buses (which takes ~2h30 with 6 shuttles per day). There are also hourly train connections from Frankfurt Airport to Strasbourg with change in Offenburg, and every other hour, there are also trains from Mannheim to Strasbourg.

By train

Strasbourg is connected to Paris (Gare de l’Est) by a high-speed train called TGV (train à grande vitesse). Paris-Strasbourg is 1h45’ with 16 daily return services.
