The RPP is an annual meeting of physicists working on theoretical high energy physics, in France or with ties to the French community. It aims to bring together researchers to exchange insights, explore emerging trends, and foster collaboration. Past RPP editions are listed here.
The 2026 meeting will be hosted by the Laboratoire Univers et Particules de Montpellier (LUPM), on the Triolet campus of the University of Montpellier. The event will feature review lectures, contributed talks, and a round table on the current state and future directions of theoretical particle physics in France.
Invited review lectures will be given by
- Kirill BOGUSLAVSKI (SubaTech), on quark-gluon plasma
- Anja BUTTER (Heidelberg & LPNHE), on machine learning
- Stefano DE ANGELIS (IPhT), on scattering amplitudes
- Yann GOUTTENOIRE (IAP), on BSM cosmology
- Hyungjin KIM (IPhT), on axions
- Nazila MAHMOUDI (IP2I), on BSM flavour
- Salvador ROSAURO ALCARAZ (LPCA), on neutrinos
- Luca SCOTTO LAVINA (LPNHE), on dark matter detection
The participants to the round table will include
- Bertrand GEORGEOT (DAS of CNRS-Physique for Theory)
- Sabine KRAML (member of CoNRS for Section 04)
- Yann MAMBRINI (member of CoNRS for Section 05)
- Ana TEIXEIRA (project officer of CNRS-Nucléaire & Particules for Theory)
- Laurent VACAVANT (DAS of CNRS-Nucléaire & Particules for Particle Physics)
and a few more to come.
