Overview

The Summer School on Neutrino Physics Beyond the Standard Model is a prestigious two-week meeting of PhD and Master students from all over Europe and the world. They present their research projects and attend lectures on some of the most recent topics in physics presented by internationally known scientists.

The 2025 edition of the school is organized by the Faculty of Physics and Engineering of the Strasbourg University in France together with the Hamburg University in Germany.

Scientific Program

The main topics of the Summer School are based on neutrino and physics beyond the Standard Model, giving an overview of the research field. All the topics covered are at the core of the research activities of the two participating universities.

The lectures will be complemented by some practical activities to ensure the active participation of the participants.

The school is opened to Master's Students, early and advanced PhD students in physics.

Place and date

The lectures will start on Tuesday  morning, the 1st of July and will end on Friday afternoon, the 11th of July.

Welcome reception and registration on Sunday 29th in the afternoon and Monday 30th in the morning.

All lectures will take place at the Auditorium Carnot
1st floor at the Faculty of Physics and Engineering
3 rue de l'université, Strasbourg

One full day will be held  the 8th of July at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).

Validation of the Summer School

An attestation for the successful participation at the summer campus will be established on the basis of the Poster presented and the active involvement in the workshop and discussions during the lectures. The attestation may help to validate ECTS points at the home university. We suggest that home universities recognize the successful participation with up to 3 credit points (ECTS). Due to the short duration of the school it is not possible to organize a formal exam at the end.

The participation of the PhD Student from Strasbourg University may be validated by the ED182 Doctoral School.

Housing and Transportation

Accommodation for students will be provided free of charge

The transportation is in the responsibility of the participants.
