Getting to Annecy by plane + bus/train/taxi/Uber
The closest airport to Annecy is Geneva Cointrin Airport. If you are not driving, several bus options are available to reach Annecy city center: FlixBus, BlaBlaCar Bus, or the local 272 line. Additionally, you can take the train from Geneva center.

FlixBus and BlaBlaCar Bus provide direct connections from Geneva Airport to Annecy's bus/train station in approximately 50 minutes.

Local Bus 272 has multiple stops along the way, making the journey longer. Tickets for this bus can be purchased at the train station in Geneva Airport or online via SBB.
Alternatively, you can take a train from Geneva Airport to the Cornavin central train station in Geneva and then board the RL2 train to Annecy, which takes approximately 1h30 minutes. Tickets are available on SBB.
You can also get to Annecy from teh airport with a taxi or Uber. The price for both varies according the time of the day, but the taxi normally cost around 200 Euros, while the Uber is ~100-140 Euros.
Getting to LAPTh from Annecy railway station
Cross the square Verdun to take the bus line 1 (heading to Parc des Glaisins) or line 4 (heading to Campus, longer route) at the Quai Sud stop and step down at the Campus stop. LAPTh is within 5 minutes walk.
Getting to LAPTh from Annecy by car
There is free parking in front of the lab. The barrier on the driveway opens automatically.
Moving around in Annecy
Public transport in Annecy relies mainly on the SIBRA bus network, but the city is also quite bike-friendly.

Buses

To reach LAPTh (the conference venue) from Annecy train station, the most direct route is bus 1, which takes about 20 minutes. Buses 4 and 5 are alternative options that follow slightly longer routes.

Timetables are available on the SIBRA website or directly in Google Maps. A single ride costs €2 when purchased onboard (cash only) or €1.5 through the tixiPASS app, which also offers discounted multi-trip bundles.

Bikes

For short trips, Vélonecy provides shared electric bikes. Unlock a bike with the Vélonecy app, pick it up at the nearest station, and drop it at any other Vélonecy dock close to your destination. A one-hour ride costs about €1.50.

For longer outings, numerous private bike-rental shops operate in Annecy and neighbouring communes, offering daily and multi-day packages.
