General Travel Information

Quy Nhon (also written as Qui Nhon) is a coastal town in Binh Dinh province in central Vietnam that can be reached by plane from Hanoi and from Ho Chi Minh City. Arriving from abroad, the second alternative is recommended because of the fare and the duration of the journey (one hour vs. 1.5 hours). If you want to travel around in Vietnam, it can be a good idea to transit e.g. via Ho Chi Minh City when coming to Quy Nhon and via Hanoi for the return leg, depending on your travel plan. The airport is named Phu Cat and is about 35km north-west of Quy Nhon. The companies flying to Quy Nhon include Vietnam airlines, Bamboo Airways, VietJet Air, Jetstar Pacific. You can buy tickets directly from their sites.

Quy Nhon can be reached also by train. The station is named Dieu Tri and is about 13 km from the city center. More information about train can be found here. From Dieu Tri station to the city by taxi, it costs about 150,000 VND.

The bus is the cheapest means of transport to get to Quy Nhon. Participants from nearby provinces are recommended to travel by bus.

There are buses connecting the Airport to the city center. It costs about 80 000 VND (about 3 USD) one way. Then, from the last stop, you take a taxi to your hotel.
