CBPF is located between BOTAFOGO and URCA neighborhoods. BOTAFOGO is a beautiful place towards Guanabara Bay, nearby option to CBPF (10 min by taxi/uber), but away from the main beaches. It is a bohemian neighborhood with good restaurants and cafes. Hotel rates are somewhat cheaper than the neiborhoords close to the main beaches (see below) of COPACABANA and IPANEMA.

The most famous/touristic neighborhoods to stay in Rio de Janeiro are the beaches of LEME, COPACABANA, IPANEMA and LEBLON.
Despite all these areas being served by the metro, there are no metro lines directly connecting to CBPF, so taxi/Uber is the best option to reach the venue.
LEME and COPACABANA are closer to CBPF (10 min by taxi). Leme is a small place, quieter and well connected to Copacabana. If you prefer fancier areas, IPANEMA and LEBLON are also not far (20 min by taxi). All these are good areas considering safety and availability of restaurants and tourist attractions.
