How to reach us:
From the city center to the conference venue:
Nearest metro station is Delta on line 5. If you stay downtown you can take this direct metro line at the Sainte-Catherine, De Brouckere, Gare Centrale, Parc and Arts-Loi stations, direction Hermann-Debroux (be careful not to take on the same platform the metro line 1, direction Stockel). To get to the campus from the Delta metro station exit the station through exit 2 Campus ULB/VUB and from the exit always go straight (for 500 meters) until the workshop N.O. building is on your left. There are outdoor maps of the campus along this way.
From the airports to the conference venue:
From the Brussels National Airport (Zaventem, Brussels):
- Trains: you can take Belgian trains (SNCB) to the city centre or the venue. The airport train station is located below the terminal (basement level-1) and one-way ticket costs 10.30€. Two options are available depending on your arrival/departure time and train schedules:
- Take a train to Etterbeek station that is 15 minutes away from the venue (walking).
- Take a train to Gare Centrale or Bruxelles Schumann station. From there take the metro line 5 (direction Hermann-Debroux) and stop at the station Delta.
- Bus 12: in case it is convenient for reaching your hotel, the bus 12 (STIB Airport line) from the public transport company STIB takes you from/to the airport to/from the European district. The Airport Line offers a connection with the metro at Schuman (lines 1-5) and at Trone (lines 2-6). From Schuman there take the metro line 5 (direction Hermann-Debroux) and stop at the station Delta to get to the venue. From the airport: you need to purchase a “Go2City” ticket with a specific airport fare (7,00€, with possibility to make correspondences on STIB network within 1 hour after validation). To the airport: you can travel to the airport with a normal STIB ticket at a normal fare. From the Brussels South Charleroi Airport (Charleroi, CLR):
You can take the Brussels City Shuttle to Gare du Midi (1 hour, one-way ticket). From Gare du Midi, take the metro line 2 or 6 (direction Simonis (Elisabeth)), change at station Arts-Loi and then take line 5 (direction Herrmann-Debroux) and stop at Delta.
