Name: Thomas Vuillaume (ESCAPE School Chair)

Bio: Thomas Vuillaume is an astrophysicist and data scientist working at CNRS-LAPP. He obtained his PhD in theoretical astrophysics developing numerical jet models and applying them to observational data before to turn to data analysis. He is an active member of the H.E.S.S. and CTA collaborations, working on the development of data analysis techniques and software for Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescopes. His expertise includes Python development, data science and machine learning.

Name: Giovanni Lamanna (ESCAPE Project Coordinator)

Bio: Giovanni Lamanna is the ESCAPE Project Coordinator, the Director of LAPP, and Director of Research at CNRS. He is member of the H.E.S.S. and CTA international collaborations. He has been involved since the beginning in the conception and preparation of the CTA ESFRI facility. He has been member of the CTA project committee and has served (2009-2016) as the coordinator of the Data Management for the CTA international consortium. He has been committed in the design and construction of the Large Size Telescopes of CTA within the FP7 CTA Preparatory Phase project,  deployed at La Palma island, and the coordinator of the OBELICS work package of the H2020 ASTERICS project.

Name: Julie Chaudan (ESCAPE Executive Manager)

Bio:  Julie CHAUDAN has recently (April 2021) taken the role of ESCAPE Project Manager. Engineer in materials science since 2009, and always keen on discovering new things, she has been working in different sectors and in different places developing her project management skills in R&D.

Name: Enrique Garcia

Bio: Enrique is a Data Scientist working at LAPP/CNRS for the European ESCAPE project and for the CTA and LST consortiums. He is currently implementing the Open-source Scientific Software and Service Repository (OSSR) for ESCAPE, and gives technical support in the development of the different data analysis chains that the LAPP group develops for the CTA collaboration.

Name: Maud Coppel

Bio: Maud is the ESCAPE Communication Officer. Dedicated to highlighting the importance of knowledge and culture, she has been working in science communication at CNRS since 2020. She has also been involved in culture and heritage dissemination since 2011, working for museums and major events.
