This talk will adress different aspects of the phase diagram of strongly interacting matter, such as the liquid-gas phase transition at low temperature and the hadron quark gluon plasma cross over transition at high temperature. Selected results from GANIL, GSI, the AGS and RHIC at BNL as well as the SPS and the LHC at CERN will be presented and discussed in the framework of theory and phenomenology.
The discovery of the acceleration of the expanding universe in the late 1990’s in one of the most exciting developments in modern physics over the last half-century. It’s existence challenges some our most basic understandings of fundamental physics.
