Title: Interplay between astrophysical and laboratory probes of MeV-scale ALPs
Abstract: Studies of axion-like particles (ALPs) commonly focus on a single type of interaction, for example only with photons. Most ALP models however predict correlations between different couplings, which change the phenomenology in important ways. In this talk I will discuss scenarios of ALPs interacting predominantly with SM gauge bosons taking these correlations into account. I will point out that astrophysical constraints, with particular focus on SN1987A, may be substantially relaxed, opening up new regions of parameter space that may be explored with laboratory experiments such as NA62.
The talk will be followed by a general discussion on Axions and Axion-like particles, including possible work within the context of IPhU.
