Polarisation and spin aligment measurements and related observables allow to learn about fundamental interactions and fluid dynamics in electron-positron, electron-proton, proton-proton/nucleus and nucleus-nucleus collisions. The goal of this workshop is the combination of a pedagogic introduction for students and scientists from different angles and a view to new measurements based on large luminosities at existing and upcoming facilities.
This is a fully online workshop.
We propose two introductory lectures about amplitude analysis by Jonas Rademaker and hydrodynamics and polarisation by Francesco Becattini (each 3 x 45 mins) recorded in advance. Two sessions for question/discussion on each lecture will be organised on Monday and Tuesday. We strongly recommend PhD students to listen to the lectures and prepare questions.
This programme is followed by a 3 days long workshop that contains 6 sessions with each about 1h duration allowing for give a taste of the respective research goals, current results and new ideas.
