The 2024 European Edition of the International Workshop on the Circular Electron-Positron Collider (CEPC) will take place in Marseille, France, April 8th-11th.
The workshop aims at gathering scientists from Europe and around the world to pursue international collaborations for the study of the physics potentials of the CEPC and accelerator and detector optimization, deepen R&D work on critical technologies for future machines and experiments, and develop plans towards an Engineering Design Report (EDR) for the CEPC accelerator and a Technical Design Report (TDR) for a reference detector.
The workshop program consists of plenary sessions and parallel sessions. They will cover: Physics, Accelerator, Detectors, Computing, Tools and Performance developments relevant for the future colliders.
The workshop encourages participation from early career scientists, especially from post-graduate students and postdocs.
The talks given during the sessions are mostly on an invitation basis, but nevertheless some time slots in the Physics parallel sessions could be offered to scientists who would like to present their work regarding physics relevant to the CEPC. People interested in this opportunity should contact cepc2024@groupes.renater.fr before 15 Feb 2024.
Please note that the registration to the workshop is done in 2 steps.
- step#1 is the registration for the attendance to the workshop (indico registration)
- step#2 is the payment of the registration fees before March 22nd (through the Azur Colloques CNRS platform)
Your registration will be validated only once you have done both steps.
Please do the step#1 of the registration process as soon as possible so we can send you an invitation letter in particular to allow you to request your visa
For the registration step#2 we still need to finalize the parameterization of the platform, but it should be available very soon.
All participants are expected to book their hotel room by themselves.
Looking forward to hearing from you and seeing you at Marseille soon.
With best regards.
The Local Organization Committee
This event is organized under the auspices of the FCPPL, with support from the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP) from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).
The France China Particle Physics Laboratory (FCPPL) was established according to an agreement between CAS, CNRS and CEA signed in April 2007. The aim of this joint laboratory without walls is to promote the cooperation between France and China in particle and astroparticle physics between research groups from about 15 French laboratories from all over France and research groups from CAS and from about 10 major universities in China. Following its creation, cooperation and exchange programs have been set up and funded through it.
In 2024, FCPPL is evolving in FCPPN/L an International Research Network (IRN) combined to an International Research Lab (IRL) hosted on the IHEP Campus in Beijing. A new combined Research Structure involving some 460 collaborators all over China and France.
