The meeting venue is at LAPP, in Annecy-le-Vieux, on the hillsides of Mount Veyrier.
Annecy-le-Vieux must not be confused with the Old Town (Vieux Annecy), which is a couple of kilometres far away. The former has little to offer, being a residential area, while in the Old Town you can take advantage of the many shops, bars and amenities, of the lovely canals, and, of course, the lake.
Reaching the venue from the Old Town is relatively easy. It requires a 25 minutes bus ride (busses passing every 5-10 minutes in the morning), or a 10 minutes car ride.
You may find a wide selection of hotels in the Old Town. Alternatively, there are a few accommodations in Annecy-le-Vieux that will allow you to reach the venue walking.
