Description
CP violation (CPV ) has been discovered in 1964 by Cronin et al. in neutral kaon mixing. In 1967, Sakharov showed that CPV is a key requirement to explain the asymmetry of baryon/antibaryon in our universe. All the observed CP violation phenomena in b-hadrons and strange hadrons so far are accommodated by the Kobayachi-Masakawa paradigm of the Standard Model. The LHCb experiment is actively searching for CP-violating observables departing from the Standard Model expectation. My thesis subject consist mainly in designing a Dalitz analysis of the decay channel B0 -> Ks pi pi, based on the 3 fb-1 recorded by the LHCb experiment during the LHC Run 1. The first step of the study is a time-integrated, untagged, analysis aimed at measuring the direct CP asymmetries of most of the resonant Quasi-2-body decays and their relative branching fractions. The second step of the analysis will be to install a full tagged and time-dependent measurement of this spectra, in view to measure in addition the mixing-induced CP asymmetry.
