Description
Top quark, with highest mass of known fundamental particles, is a key particle to link Standard Model and possible new physics. Singly produced top quark, firstly observed in 2009, provides direct precision tests on Electroweak symmetry as well as high sensitivity to new physics from the production or decay mechanism. In this seminar I will present the result of measurements of single top-quark production in the t- and Wt-channels using proton-proton collisions with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider, from which the CKM matrix element |Vtb| is extracted. In addition, Searches of single top s-channel, FCNC and new physics with single top signatures are also presented.
