The theoretical activity for searching and studying models of cosmic acceleration is no less impressive than current and future observations. In particular, the next generation of galaxy surveys might have the chance of detecting the dynamical properties of dark energy, The present situation parallels the particle physics booming of decades ago and, for analogous reasons, calls for a phenomenological approach to dark energy. This workshop aims to contribute to this, by discussing efficient modelings of dark energy and modified gravity and proposing common languages and frameworks that can be shared by theorists and experimentalists.
