Description
The first European Strategy for Particle Physics was adopted by CERN Council in July 2006. Since then the physics landscape has evolved in an exciting way, and a complete update of the strategy has been initiated end of 2011, with broad involvement of the community during 2012. The main issues and highlights from the proposed new strategy statements, which will still have to be formally approved by Council, will be presented.
