Evidence for a narrow resonance in the search for the Standard Model Higgs Boson in the di-photon channel at CMS

Results are presented for the CMS Standard Model Higgs search in the di-photon channel using 5.1/fb of 7TeV data and 5.3/fb of 8TeV data. The di-photon results alone constitute evidence for a new state with a mass of around 125 GeV, with couplings consistent with the Standard Model Higgs within presently large uncertainties.
