Description
Correlations between particles produced in ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions have been thoroughly studied experimentally, because they reveal interesting patterns which are specific to nucleus-nucleus collisions. The best known of these correlations is elliptic flow. It has been recently shown that fluctuations in the wavefunctions of incoming nuclei result in new types of flow, in particular triangular flow. I review these new observables and show that they can be used to constrain the viscosity of hot QCD, and models of the "initial state".
