If gauginos are discovered at the LHC, then it is highly likely
that it will be only through indirect means that we can determine
whether their masses are Majorana or Dirac. It is therefore important to
understand what models can lead to this latter, relatively neglected,
possibility; I shall describe work in this direction in the contexts of
gauge mediation and "deconstructed gaugino mediation," where Dirac
masses are particularly natural (since they allow the supersymmetry
breaking sector to preserve R symmetry).
