Description
Forward region at the International Linear Collider (ILC) is dedicated to provide detector hermeticity, to improve jet reconstruction and momentum resolution and together with efficient tracking to enable new physics search.
At the same time, the forward region is facing technological challenges to meet requirements for precision measurements at the future linear collider. To enable that, luminosity has to be known at the permille level.
Results I’ll present are common effort of the Forward Calorimetry Collaboration (FCAL) in design of luminometer at ILC, as well as in understanding of physics processes of interest for the luminosity measurement.
