Description
Cette présentation fera le point sur les besoins futurs des sites Tier2s en matière de réseaux. Elle résumera les conclusions du groupe de travail W-LCG mené par Kors Bos. ces conclusions ont été présentées lors de la dernière réunion LHCOPN.
This presentation is dedicated to the future needs for Tier2 networking. It will recall the conclusions of W-LCG Working Group lead by Kors Bos which have been presented during last LHCOPN meeting.
Summary
Currently only few data are really used while a lot is distributed all around the world. A lot of information is duplicated to ease access but it is difficult to predict which data will be used. It is planned to change the data model to rely on network and do to do more remote access to the data avoiding duplicating it, often uselessly.In this perspective, generic IP will not be sufficient.
