Description
Large galaxy surveys such as the Dark Energy Survey (DES) or the new LSST from the Vera C. Rubin Observatory offer several cosmological probes to test dark energy and gravity. The combination of galaxy clustering and weak lensing has proven to be a powerful probe, especially in combination with complementary probes such as galaxy clusters, supernovae and the baryonic acoustic oscillation peak. After describing the weak lensing cosmological analysis pipeline we validated for the full DES (arXiv:2601.14859), I will highlight the main challenges, from computing costs to the control of parameter biases, and the latest developments to tackle them with ML and LLMs, including emulators, samplers and automated benchmarks. I will end with an application of LLMs to Vera C. Rubin Observatory data visualization.
