Description
Nambu–Jona-Lasinio-type models are frequently employed as low-energy effective theories for fermionic systems and offer a powerful framework to analyse the structure of the phase diagram. The predictions from such models at finite rotation are of particular interest in the context of heavy-ion collisions, where a rotating Quark Gluon Plasma is created. In this work, we consider a Fierz-complete version of a Nambu–Jona-Lasinio model, and we extend its Functional Renormalisation Group study to rotating fermions. We investigate the curvature of the phase diagram as a function of the angular velocity, as well as the possible interpretation of the underlying dynamics in terms of difermion-type degrees of freedom. We also discuss the importance of the Fierz-complete basis at non-vanishing angular velocity, comparing our results with Fierz-incomplete approaches.
