Description
We present SUBA-Jet 1.2, a new version of the SUBA-Jet Monte Carlo framework that incorporates medium-induced coherence effects in the evolution and energy loss of jets propagating through a quark-gluon plasma (QGP). The model combines a vacuum-like parton shower with medium-induced interactions described through a BDMPS-inspired approach.
Coherence is implemented through angular ordering constraints together with two effective prescriptions: one based on the decoherence probability of the dominant emitter and another based on the transverse separation of emitters relative to the resolving power of the medium. Both approaches reduce the effective number of BDMPS radiators resolved by the medium.
This development represents a first step towards SUBA-Jet 2.0, where coherence effects will be incorporated into a fully emitter-based description of jet evolution.
